Immune-mediated myositis (MYH1 myopathy) reports

Dear Customers,

It has come to our attention that due to a recent database update, there has been a mistake on the reports that we have sent out for the IMM (Immune-mediated myositis, MYH1 myopathy) tests. The results are correct and have not changed; however, we made a mistake in how the location of the variant is reported.

In our database, the location “chr11:52993878T>C” was truncated to c.878T>C on reports. We tested the correct variant (first reported by Finno and colleagues in 2018), which causes a E321G amino acid change, but our report makes it look like we tested the wrong location.  We apologize for the confusion!

In the next days you will be receiving updated certificates showing the appropriate mutation location. Your results will not change, but we want to be transparent and for everyone to have certificates with the correct information.

For more information or to order the test, see our IMM webpage here.

Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Best regards,
Your CAG Team
